So a friend says… I need ways to save money …

Saving money isn’t easy, and there are formulas, and they generally don’t work.  If you wait around for a ‘good time’ to save money then you won’t save a dime, and if you look for ways to save money then you won’t get far either.  So… let me tell you how I found a way to save money that works for me.  But first… a little about ’super kc’.  I make money like a hurricane and blow it like a black man is in office printing bail outs….hmm… I said ‘like’.  Saving all of my change is a great way to save money but that is only because I never find time to cash it back into dollars.  Here is what ya do…

There is a website out there called PayJR.com.  In a nut shell, you signup, and they send you a prepaid VISA card with your name on it.  They have high fees but who doesn’t right?  You can make it so it forces you to save by automatically withdrawing X amount of money from you on a certain day of the week or month or whenever really.  Instead of doing the “$30 a month” saving plan… like a starving child in Africa… try the “SUPER KC $100 on SUNDAYS” plan.  This plan rocks — before you know it — you will be swimming in cash over there.  Now… the reason I say do the SUPER KC plan is because you won’t miss $30, it won’t put any stress on ya.  Thats exactly why it does not work.  You want to pick an amount that you WILL miss.  An amount that will put your monthly budget just a LITTLE short — put some financial pressure on ya.  Listen — you still have access to the money — its not going anywhere — but you feel different.  You want this PayJR card to be like a bad car loan or an evil ex-wife… you want to feel OBLIGATED to make that money to have to pay off “Uncle Pay JR” or he will repo your laptop and make you clean the toilets.  This ogligation and financial stress will push you to make money more, to work harder, and thus… you make more you save money.  You will work a little harder and your $$ will be building in a pure out of sight, out of mind location.  Hell, break it down to $50 on tuesdays and $100 on fridays — get creative and do $100 on sundays and the last week… $200 kicker right before rent… worry about it… panic about it… PUSH YOUR SELF TO FIND A WAY TO SAVE MONEY.

The reason we work hard is because we HAVE to work hard, otherwise things get nasty and mean.  There are not a lot of good ways to save money out there because they are easy, they don’t have pressure, and franky you will always spend what you make so utilize saving to force you to make money more.  Make more money.  Read my lips… make more money.  You save money by making more money… more money because you make more money, and then you can save more money, because you didn’t know your saving it.  Got it? You can save up money for a new car, build a savings plan for the family, save money for groceries, or pack away cash for a hobby.
